Sir Simon, have you ever thought of making a Udemy-course on Tailwind CSS? I'm quite sure a course of the hands-down best Tailwind-Tutor of all time would be a huge success!
Nope, but I'm preparing a course right now that will be distributed independently (with the support of the team behind egghead.io), should hopefully go pretty well!
Honestly, I could not see much difference between the Lumina and your Mac, which is worrisome at $200 for this webcam. Still a huge difference between what I'm assuming is your DSLR. Sorry, new here and not sure if you said what you used to film this video. Would you recommend anything that is significantly better than a basic iMac webcam, but not as expensive as a Lumina? It's competitor...something like Brio I think, I heard is not compatible with Macs even though they advertise they are - some reviewers said they had constant problems. Or is it better just to get a low-end DSLR instead? I really hate being on camera, but will need to start and need something professional but that won't break the bank.
I don't think *any* USB webcam on the market will get you where you want to be, which is significantly better than the built-in webcam. Unless maybe using your phone as a camera. The Opal camera is pretty nice, but it's also pretty expensive. Low-end DSLR is a HUGE upgrade, but you might also need a good lens to really have a fantastic setup. If you can get your hands on a second-hand DSLR + second-hand Sigma 16mm F1.4 lens, you will reach heaven 🤣 Oh but then you need a capture card as well, to convert your signal from HDMI to USB 😭
@@simonswiss After I posted my comment I realized I am talking out of all sides of my mouth! 😂 Okay I am not ready for a DSLR at all. I will have to wait to afford that sort of setup and that went over my head, but I get that it is not just as simple as pulling it out of the box like a webcam. I appreciate it too. The Opal was $300 on their website. 😱 I had started out looking for $80 cameras just to even have more control on it like, zooming in on my face is better than showing up looking all tiny and too much background. But some features like the background stuff is nice to have. Then I saw the Lumina and thought it sounds like the end all be all in webcams. But now I am like, is it that much better than an $80 one? Should I just go with a Logitech or is this Lumina worth what they are asking? Sorry that my last message didn't convey these questions as well.
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH NEW COMPUTERS! This camera is outdated and doesn't work with computers made after 2022. They have stopped updating their software and it only works with older computers. If you have a newer computer DO NOT buy this camera as it won't work.
Thanks for saving me $200
their ads almost convinced me. thank you my hero. lol. i'll stay with iriun cam.
Thanks for expanding your video content. The clip to cut the lens seems cool.
What camera did you use to start the video because the whole time I was focused on the quality of instead of the lumina
Haha, not really a fair comparison because it's a $1.5K Sony a6100 mirrorless camera, with a 350$ cinematic "Sigma 16mm" lens 😅

This video was only uploaded in 1080p, so how exactly are we demoing the 4k video here?
